Use this guide to find patients with balances in Open Dental and send statements.
To access:
- Click the Payments icon on the home page
- Select the Patients with balance tab
3. Set filters to generate your list. Available options are:
- Patient's First Name
- Patient's Last Name
- Billing Type
- Balance Age
- Last Statement
- Include Family Credits
- Include Family Statements
- Include patients with open claims
4. After generating your patient balance list, select an individual patient, family, or multiple patients:
5. With a patient selected, click on the Send Statements button to invoice the account using text or email:
6. For single statements:
- Select the items to include in the patient's statement
7. Choose which method to send the statement using the text and email icons
