How to Download the Flex Communicator

The Flex Communicator allows you to send and receive patient text messages within your practice, as well as manage real-time communication between team members.

This guide explains how to download & install the Flex Communicator. 

Download the Flex Communicator

You can download the Communicator directly from within Flex.

Option 1: From the Flex Logo.

1. 1. In the top-right corner of Flex, click the Flex logo.
   2. Select Download Flex Communicator.

Option 2: From Settings in the Extras Tab - this requires Administrative User access.

1. 1. Go to Settings.
   2. Click Extras.
   3. Select the Download Flex Communicator icon.

Install the Flex Communicator

The installation file will be saved to your computer.

1. From your downloads folder, open the file and follow the installation instructions.

          • Some workstations may display a pop-up or alert flagging the program as potentially unsafe. This is typically due to your organization's security settings. Not to worry—the program is safe. 

2. Once installed, the Flex Communicator window will open automatically. If the window does not open, try launching it from your desktop or applications folder.

💡Pro Tip: Pin the Flex Communicator program to your taskbar for easy access.
