How to Setup the Flex Communicator

Setting up each workstation helps teams personalize their workspace to match daily workflows and responsibilities. By adjusting individual settings, users can improve task efficiency, minimize repetitive actions or notifications, and ensure consistency.

This guide walks you through how to enable alerts, set up location identifiers, preferences, and intraoffice alert templates.

  6. Do not change the Flex Server settings unless instructed. If server configuration is required, contact Flex Support for guidance.                                                                                                                                                 FC_Settings_Server(Blurred).jpg
  7. In the top right, Save when finished.                                                                                                                       FC_Settings_SaveHighlight.jpg
    • Revert will erase all current preferences and settings will return to their defaults.

💡Pro Tips

  • These settings are workstation-specific. You will need to configure each device individually according to how your team uses Flex.
  • To minimize distractions in clinical workstations, ensure the Calls and Texts alerts are set to No.
