Available in version 7.3.0 and above
The self check-in kiosk feature can be implemented in two ways:
- Print a QR code to place somewhere in the office. Patients can scan this and check in on their own device.
- Provide a patient facing device like a tablet where patients can complete check in
Access:
- Click on the QR code button from the Flex landing page
- Click on Print Preview
- Choose your preferred option:
- From your landing page, patients can check-in themselves and their family members, as well as complete any required new patient or health history forms. After check-in, the appointment status in Open Dental updates automatically, keeping the entire team informed.
- After entering a scheduled patient’s information and selecting "Check In," the system will locate any family members with appointments scheduled for the day, allowing them to check in and complete any required new patient forms or health history updates
Settings:
Within the server settings, confirmation statuses can be chosen to reflect the patient's movement throughout the check-in process.
