Search by name or email:
- First name
*Preferred name search is not currently supported - Last name
- Partial spellings that match name or email field

Sending Bulk Text Messages
Through the APL, you can select multiple patients (up to 100 at once) to send text messages to. The text messages are sent individually to patients so you are not creating group text messages for your patients. Of note, as of version 7.7.1 handlebars (e.g. {{practicename}} ) are now compatible with the Advanced Patient list. Sending a text:
- Select your patients
-You can use the Select All checkbox which is located at the top of the checkbox column
-By default, the page results will show 50 patients at once. You can expand this count to show up to 100 at a time by extending the Rows per page at the lower right corner of the screen.
-The maximum number of rows allowed per page is 100. This is also the maximum number of messages that can be sent at one time.
-The count at the bottom of the screen will show you how many patients you have selected
-Of note, you cannot select patients on different pages. If you select 3 patients on page 1, and then move to page 2, the three originally selected on page 1 will be removed.
- Send SMS
-Once your patients are selected, click the "Send SMS" button pictured above.
-Type your message in the box! There is a 160 character limit which is tracked for you and will notify you if the limit is exceeded.
-Once your message is typed, click Continue
-You will be able to review your message. Of note, you cannot edit your message here. If you would like to edit the message, click the Back button. If you would like to go back to patient selection, after you've clicked Back, click Cancel and you will be on the APL home page.
-If you're ready, click Send All! A progress bar will display on the lower left to let you know the progress of messages being sent
Once complete, you can click the X in the UR corner to remove the progress bar.
A note on phone numbers:
- If you hover over the Phone column header, you will see a key for the letter indicators next to the phone numbers. Flex is only able to send text messages to the Mobile numbers
