Which Tablets Work With Flex?

Flex can be used with most Android and Apple tablets, allowing your practice more freedom for in house forms, presenting treatment plans, and much more. (Flex does not work on Amazon Fire tablets)

To learn about tablet compatibility please read below.

Android Compatibility:

• Most Models and Versions
  • Ensure the Google Play store can be used (very old models have some limitations)
  • Ensure the Tablet has prefill, as some first generation models do not support such a feature, which can reduce the quality of the signing process for forms

Apple Compatibility:

• iOS Version:

  • 14 and above recommended as of 6/3/2024 (iPad must be able to continue to update to the latest iOS versions) 
    • iOS 12 and below on iPad will have some restrictions and possible issues

Suggestions:

• Devices that are still getting security patches, to stay compliant with HIPAA
• Devices made within the past 4 or so years
  • This will prevent purchasing tablets that will not be receiving many more updates to security, or feature updates from Apple/Android.
